As the summer semester moves into full swing, students in the Digital Media program at Gulf Coast State College get to experience the excitement of being a radio DJ. The students will be on air this semester developing their radio personalities on AlterNation 90.7HD3 and we can’t wait to hear their thoughts and ideas on air!

The GCSC student run radio station “AlterNation” is a learning lab that serves to help students get hands on experience that is needed for live radio DJ’ing as well as giving them an opportunity to reach out and be heard by the entire listening audience of Gulf Coast State College and the Panama City area.

The music that is chosen, the information that is given out and the tone that is set, is decided and delivered by the student DJ’s. These students will have a solid background in state of art radio broadcasting technology that helps them after graduating from the program.

Anyone can listen to the new student DJ’s by clicking here. Or by going to www.thealternationradio.com and click on the listen tab to see the streaming feed. We promise you will love the mix of music that we have on air.

Don’t forget to let us know how we are doing and show support for the students by following us on Facebook, Twitter, and checking out our website (linked above)!
